Good post and discussion. To me fly fishing means fishing whereby the angler imitates a "fly", an aquatic insect or flying terrestrial in its natural form. I will go so far as to extend that definition for larvae, pupae etc. because the are becoming a fly. All else, to me is fly "rodding" to include streamer fishing and salt water angling, all of which I partake in. Thus, czech nymphing is fly fishing. Questions about lead, indicators, number of flies are, in my opinion, questions about what is "sport", just as hunters have debates over high fences, baiting, trail cameras etc. All that said, I have not answered for myself where beads, flash and tinsel fit in the discussion, though they fit nicely in my fly tying materials box.
