Sili skin

Scud back is great for.. well, scud backs. In addition to the material sold as such in fly shops, sandwich bags, latex gloves from the doctors office, and even dare I say, condoms make great backs and over bodies for many patterns. Look around and you will probably find other "almost free" materials for this and other fly tying needs.
Same your money for the important things like good cigars and fine single malts.

I agree Sili Skin would be overkill for scuds with all the other "almost free" stuff available, but I read Jeff's post to read that he was looking for something to do with the Sili Skin he had.
