    Default Another Tiger Eye Rod...

This is a 9', 4 pc, 4/5w on a Tiger Eye Blank. TiCH cutout reel seat and black single foot guides. The wraps are tan-black-tan-chestnut-tan-black-tan with color preserver. The inlay is a Golden Pheasant tippet topped with the tiny little iridescent feather from the base of a Golden Pheasant Tippet.

I could only attach these, I could not do the photobucket thing like I used to?

Wow, that blank really is about the best looking out there. Wish it was a faster speed...

Kevin, I don't know about the photobucket pictures yet ... haven't tried to post any since "the change", but I do know that if you click on the pictures you put in the thread, they come up big and beautiful!! And will follow 1 - 4 with just a click on the "next" ... smooth as silk!

That rod is gorgeous!!! Holy smokes!!!

    kevin,
You got to love the tiger eyes, so many color combinations work so well with them. I really like that particular combination. You keep taking it the next level. As far as fast goes, many people believe that Sevier under rates their rods. I always use the upper wt. and find they are pretty quick

I know I really like the Tiger Eye blanks. They make a beautiful rod and seem to be a tremendous value. Even I can cast a nice tight loop with one of these blanks A 4/5 like this is right snappy with a 5w line.

Very nice Kevin. Thats the same blank I have for my current build. I'm using a REC up-locking Nickle Silver seat with Tiger Mable insert , RECoil snake guides and have the cork ready to glue up with 1/4in burl trim rings. But I haven't decided on thread color yet though. All the Tiger Eye rods posted here have been a big help with possible color choices.

color choices I like with the tiger eye-
    garnet/gold metallic
    brown/ copper metallic
and believe it or not orange/blue metallic. The metallic used as trim or inlay.

Dang it! I was going to order copper and forgot to when I made this last order from Mudhole. What is worse is that I was picking thread colors and had to have looked at the copper at least a half dozen times. #$%@#%!!!
