Can anyone tell me the difference btwn diagonal and rope knurling? I wan't to get the CRN reelseat from REC, but don't know the difference. Also, What's the difference btwn the oval and mortised spacer shapes?

This post has bothered me all day!! Both the diagonal and rope knurling are really kewl, but I couldn't find pictures for them to show you the difference.
Try this:
The diagonal and straight knurling is just that. Plain straight lines(or diagonal) around the rings . The rope knurling, is like the fourth and fifth ones in from the right in this picture. There's a real twisting/dimension to the knurling.

Thanks, I'm sure both options will still look good. I think the rope knurling looks more "twisted" than the diagonal.
Just ask REC?
You might try emailing one of these guys from REC and see if they will email you pictures of the differences.
