    Yes, I have one, but what are you going to do wth the number you get? Compare it to another rod? What does that tell you? Everything and anything you do to a rod blank lowers the number.

    Any angler can get essentially the same information using CCF without having to spend several hundred dollars for the tool.

    Bill, I do happen to have one....used to use it quite a bit making golf clubs...I was thinking one could read the cpms @ 20 seconds.
    Your method is pretty darn easy and can be done while the rod is set up for the ERN.
    Actually the golf freq, analyzer might make a good anchor.

    I don't recall seeing anywhere how many grains a common cent is....can you tell me....unfortunately I sold all my delicate scales...should have known to keep one

    One 21st Century cent weights 38.61 grains or 2.50 grams.
