They are a great bunch to deal with, too!! Do keep in mind, though, the butt section on a glass rod is quite a bit larger than your standard graphite butt section. REC does have a number of reel seats that have a larger opening milled in them.
That particular reel seat has an option of being bored to .438, which by the way just happens to fit a 7 1/2', 3 piece, 4 weight Lamiglas honey colored blank perfectly.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
