Btw, I'm a big fan of the Orvis Knot (also called the Becker knot) as well when connecting my fly to the tippet. Much stronger than a clinch or improved clinch.

For a nice riding knot for drys you can also put the George Harvey knot right up there. Very strong and the fly rides nice and straight. Good post, Steven

Make a bigger loop than shown . I twist it with my index and middle finger in the loop ,then put my thumb(same hand) through the loop and pull the tag and tippet through the loop.

Blinding fast to tie and extremly strong. Most of the time I just do 2 twists when tying 5X fluorocarbon to 4x leader
