I received an Email today, regarding Western FlyFisher Magazine. The magazine ran for a short time in 2000 & 2001. There is a Internet site, where you can download the 4 quarterly issues that were published. I found the magazine very useful, and even if it is revived and requires a subscription, I find no problem with that.
I subscribe to fly fishing magazine, including "Canadian Fly Fisher" (FAOL Sponsor). Some arrive by the United States Postal Service, others I download a PDF File (Adobe) off the internet. Every magazine requires a source of income, and I can see the future of magazines on the internet, eliminating the cost of printing and shipping charges. FAOL is a weekly Fly Fishing Magazine, that derives it operation capital through Sponsors, and donations ("Friends of FAOL").

Here is the Email I received
Interactive Broadcasting Corporation wishes to announce the signing of an
agreement with Shim Hogan of Gone Fishin? Enterprises for the transfer of
ownership of Western Flyfisher magazine.
In the agreement of October 4th 2005, Gone Fishin? Enterprises assumes ownership
of the Western Flyfisher Magazine.
We are very excited about this agreement because it means that the magazine will
once again be published.
I would like to thank all those who have contributed their talents to Western
Flyfisher, and especially to you, our subscribers, for your belief in the
concept of WFF, and for your patience and support since the suspension of
publication.
It has often been said that Western Flyfisher was one of the finest fly-fishing
magazines ever created. I agree. It was unique, refreshing and without a doubt,
far ahead of its time. Although not published since 2001, WFF remains a popular
download on the Internet, with literally thousands of subscribers, who, like
you, will be delighted to hear of its return.
Doubtless there will be some changes to the magazine ? these are different times
? but I am confident in entrusting the Western Flyfisher legacy to Shim and
Darlene. No one loves the sport more. And, their other endeavors, Anglers Choice
Fly Tying Materials, flytiers.com and globalangler.com are sure to be an
excellent fit. We wish them great success, and eagerly look forward the
long-awaited next issue.
In the meantime, Shim has asked me to extend an invitation to you to visit
[url=http://www.globalangler.com:34d5c]http://www.globalangler.com[/url:34d5c]
and enjoy their magazine Global Angler ? which is currently
into its fourth issue and is available for free download for a limited time.
