Being a writer myself, you would think that I'd appreciate the Compleat Angler, but I warn you Sparse, drink five or six cups of java before getting into it.

See, I can appreciate that it is the first book ever published on fishing...and that's very cool...but that doesn't make it any more fun to actually read. And quite honestly, there's nothing in it that is going to make you a better fisherman or anything, we all have just tried to fight through it because we're supposed to or something. Of course, just my 2 cents.
