annapolis, md. fly fishing

anyone on the forums here in the annapolis area? will be in training from aug. 18-22 and am looking to wet a line somewhere. have called a local fly shop and got some good info, but am looking to hear from someone here on the forums for some additional, maybe some hot spots etc.

Im not the best source of info on this but I can tell you it will be tough to find fish without a boat. All of the migratory sripers are up notrth right now and all that is left in the bay are small schoolies.

You may be able to get into some action around Kent Narrows around dark. Hopefully someone will be able to help you out. Good luck.

Haven't tried it, but asked a co-worker this a.m. - suggested maybe Sandy Point State Park. Think there is a jetty that would get you out into the water. Don't know what other public options there are up that way. There are a few (very few) charter capt.s' that do fly fishing here on the bay. Wish you the best. If you were able to wander south of there a couple of hours I have a friend that is one of the minority that does fly fishing charters. Hope this helps.
