    not a gripe, but somehow i got signed up for thier email alerts

    they now offer hemp clothing, and thought that deserved a special alert

    I love Orvis gear ~~ but there are somethings I don't like ~~ like paying shipping and taxes on items I mail order because I live in a state that has an Orvis store. Of course store is 225 miles away.

    With a coupon I might be interested in a hemp shirt ~~ but then I would lose any savings by paying both shipping and taxes.

    Dear Rev Bob,

    I can understand your concern about paying both taxes and shipping but unless you happen to be in the area where the Orvis store is situated wouldn't you be ahead by paying the shipping rather than the cost of gas to drive 450 miles round-trip?

    You'd pay the taxes regardless, but if you can get there and back for $ 20.00 I want to know what kind of car you drive?

    I do have the HEMP jeans....I know, big surprise
    They are heavy, but they are very cool in the heat! they are definitely a great jean and dry quickly.
