From the *other side*.

The client is the one paying the bill for service...the guide is not doing him/her a favor by providing it.

There is usually more than one right way to do things. Try and work with the client without trying to change everything.

Good attitude +hard work +pleasant demeanor = good tip!

Generally trying to fullfill the client's goals (if reasonable) is better than trying to fullfill the guide's.

To the guide it is just another day at the office....to the client it may be the greatly anticipated trip of a lifetime. Treat it as the latter.
