Doing a little research online I guess glow in the dark bass lures are not that uncommon. I think Ill give it a try. I've found a couple of references for some glow in the dark tying fiber that could be used also. If it works well I could get one of these glow in the dark wigs and chop it up in a blender to make dubbing:

You could make a lifetime of dubbing out of one of these for $20 bucks.

Hey, Im serious. If it catches fish why not? Talk about running people out of a fishing hole, start wading in with one of these on- they would never come back, hee hee.

Tom Rosenbauer in his "Prospecting for Trout" said nighttime is when the Bull of the Woods Brown Trout come out. That is what I am after. That clown wig might be good luck, anyway.

Regarding strike indicators scaring fish... no doubt about it. I've seen some guys fish with little short pieces of flyline with the core pulled out, then threading the leader through on a sewing needle. Very small indicators.

I'll experiment with some of the glow in the dark stuff later this week. It might be a flop but you cannot tell until you try.
