The canoe is the most elegant watercraft to ever grace water, it is as much art as it is boat. You've done good service to the form. Congratulations on this fine effort.........Papa

It would be a shame to fish anything but a quad cane fly rod out of that

Thank you all for your kind words.

As mentioned this has taken so very long to do, I've moved a couple times during its construction and didn't have a shop to work on it for a while.

I started taking pictures from the start and thought I might put together a step by step picture sequance of the making of a Cedar stripper but there are many gaps, I didn't take pictures often enough.

Okfly, I had a Hex cane rod that I broke and have yet to replace, I like cane but it'll have to be graphite for now.

Jack, I'm not sure about that article, maybe during the winter when I am stuck inside much of the time.

Gardenfish, we have so much good water hear that I never gave any thought to using this canoe on Lake Superior, I've canoed on The Mighty Atlantic, so sure it may see the big inland sea.

Thank you all again, Bye for now: Yaf

Wow! That canoe is a beauty. Sure you wouldn't want it in the living room instead of a lake?
    Regards,
