    Default Wally World Swap

Would anyone be interested in a swap where at least one of the materials has to be purchased at Walmart. I'll limit it to 10 tyers including myself. Last day to sign up will be Sept 30, With Oct. 31 the last due date to have your flies in the mail. Flies have to be toe tagged, and return label and postage required. I'll tie a Flashdancer, a Smallmouth streamer.

1 Dan Gober Flashdancer I use a lace trim for the body, makes for a nice looking, but very effective fly.

Swap is now full, thanks for joining. I'll get an email out with address and due date this weeekend. Ten Flies is the number to tie that way everyone will get one of their own flies back. Oh by the way there will be a couple of small prizes for the best new material used, as judged by my wife. This will be fun. Dan

Thanks for joining xisintheend, billknapp, and Kahuna. The swap is off and running. By the way I'll be thinking up a few small prizes for the best new ideas. Now let's find a few more wally world shoppers out there. I'll get the mailing details out in a few days. Thanks again. Dan

    dg,

Do you mind if I join in the fun? The past season I tied a variation of a Dean River Lantern that only uses material that can be found at our local Wal-Mart. Somehow even with my sloppy presentation it managed to fool a number of sockeye, pink and chum salmon. Although it's a bright Pacific Northwest pattern, I think it could be productive in warm waters.

Count me in, if you have space.

Welcome trouting_thomas and Panman. I would say this swap is starting to roll. Anyone who hasn't joined because you don't know what to tie. Take a look a Boyd Pfeiffer articles in Fly Tyer. Better yet take a run though the fly of the week right here on Foal. Thanks Dan
