Default Gills are active in Wisconsin

Got my honey do list done in time to get in about an hour of casting in my farm pond last night. Sunday nothing. Last night using a size 14 PTN had 7 small Gills and two LMB in 45 minutes. Also had a couple 16"+ LMB hit the BG as I was bringing them in. Also kicked up a pair of Woodduck, turkey, and upset a doe bedding down for the night. I think thats a good night by any standards.

great story, listened to the turkeys talking last week here in NC while I molested the gills.

#16's and #14's were the best.

Got skunked last weekend using a crappie candy and a jitterbee. I have a pile of various sized PTN and Hare's Ear Nymphs recently tied that I need to get out and test. My poor 2wt has been sitting in the garage since last autumn.

The weather still won't cooperate fully here (Washington State). Lots of rain and wind. I live in the desert, it's not supposed to rain here!
