    Default whimped out

Plan was to head to a tailwater where word had it gills and crappies were holding. The rain isn't the problem. It's the cold, damp wind that is there with it. Guess I just whimped out. JGW

Welcome to the whimped out group, white43, was going to the Green River last Wed., rain and snow, I chickened out on playing in the mud, the winch is broken. Thursday, 20 to 30 mph winds were predicted, they hit 40 to 45 mph on some gusts, Wyo don't have many trees in the western part.

Mabye tomorrow will cooperate, just have to wait and see. Good luck to ya.

Well, today the weather was at it's best.
I was itching to do some fishing, but as
the Bass Masters Tourney is in progress on
the Santee Cooper Lakes, I stayed home and
watched R Dubyahs boy Tony take another
Nextel Race and put me down a fly in our
wagers.*G* For you folks that have mentioned a desire to fish the Santee
Cooper Lakes here, there will be plenty of
coverage next Saturday on ESPN2 of my home
    waters. Warm regards, Jim

    Hey Jim,

I know the feeling, Lake Istokpoga (5th largest lake in Florida and famous for its huge LMB) here has the Pro Bass circuit and local tournaments. It can be like a mad house out there. I avoid all that on the lake and fish the lake's many canals . I haven't been on Lake Istokpoga in years but I have been "around" it . Then there are all the other lakes, creeks, and rivers in the county that the Pro Bass folks wouldn't even touch but sometimes the local tournaments do.

Happens to the best of us from time to time. Enjoy White43.

Excuse my spelling and grammar, I hooked Mondays and Fridays to either fish or hunt.
