Although I don't have one, I'm pretty sure the knot tying tool comes with instructions on how to tie both a clinch knot and a surgeon's knot with the tool. It may not be what you think, because the tool does not hold the hook.

Basically, to tie a clinch knot, you thread the fly on the tippet, then form a loop with the fly on the loop dangling freely. Pinch or hold the loop where the tag end crosses the main line with one hand.

Insert the tool (or forceps) into the loop and twirl the required number of times -- 5 to 7 depending on tippet size. The fly just flops around on the loop while you do this.

Then grasp the tag end with the tool and pull it through the loop as per standard clinch knot. Moisten and tighten.

It works well, but is hard to describe in words. I searched the internet for instructions. I did find some but they were in French! If you happened to read French, I'd find that link again, and send it to you. I think the pictures might be helpful.
