Now I'm hooked
I tied a fly this summer that I haven't seen before and called it a wooly grubber. I used a gold cone bead head, chartreuse pearl chenille, chartruese hackle, and the end section from a 1" chartreuse curl tail grub. I took it out to a local stream this weekend to try it out using my 2 weight rod. I worked great. In fact, I had a 5 pound carp take it at the end of the day. All I can say is WOW! Carp are fun. Even more fun on 2 weight rods.
