Was out on the Peconic this morning, pulled in three around 20-22 inches on my 5 wt. Lots of fun. Came to a "perfect" spot and tossed a #14 Adams. He took it immediately. Had to get out the tape measure when I netted him.....1-3/4 inches (1.75"), and I stretched him out to get that.

Hey a local guy. Theres not to many people from LI here. I cant tell you how many times that has happened to me. I toss the fly and WHAM! the water explodes and as I'm pulling it in...oh its not as big as I thought.
