I never, and I mean never know which one I want to fish!!!
I never, and I mean never know which one I want to fish!!!
............Hmmm, well today is the 2nd Tuesday of the 7th month & it's overcast, &...oops, I just FISHED this rod in spring 2003. I know 'cuz I just checked my individual rod log, volume 37, page 243. Although, this rod DOES clash with that gold chenille wooly worm I was gonna use, but that one is cute with the ivory Wulff triangle taper.....
Don't worry Leo, it'll all work out!
Can't WAIT for the Fish-In!!

dleo,
Do what lesyoung from the chatroom does. Keep all of your rods on a database and log the number of hours each rod has been fished. That way you know which rods need that extra attention that they only get on stream.
Happiness is wading boots that never have a chance to dry out.
I need to check the 'reg's'. Is it legal to fish with two rods at the same time? How about a dry fly cast upstream and letting a nymph drag behind you downstream on a second rod? Both would be under your immediate control. Hmm,,,
Castwell, that is downright evil! Do not
feed that stuff to our readers, you just might lead them down the primrose path...

JC, you had to say that and I had to try it....never saw such a mess in my life!!! LF you need to get him under control there...
Is anyone else counting the days till the Fish-In?
What a good idea JC.
A second rod stamp here in Co. is $5.
I don't cast left handed very well, but hey, what could go wrong?
I got it! The iPod! Music! Put the 'San Juan Shuffle' to music and dance your way to flyfishing success! Be the first on your stream to do the 'Double Grand Slam'. Four different fish on two different rods all in one day on the stream. Start an organization, nifty clothing, secret handshakes,, the works. TRU.... 'Two Rods Unlimited'! TRU what better name????
Thats interesting J.C. mentioning the Grand Slam. I never looked at it that way, but many a day, especially on hot, humid summer days, I will try a dry, a nymph, a streamer and a San Juan worm just to see if I can catch a fish on all four. Does not always work, but when it does, it is a satisifying experience.
J.C. Instead of nifty clothing, secret handshake, etc. for the fraturnity of "four rod fishermen" How about a Tatoo? If your gonna belong, that would cement your intentions without a doubt.
