    Dateline Papillion Nebraska:
I did my best impression of Bill Paxton but I guess it didn't matter since I didn't have Helen Hunt in the pickup with me anyway!

I nearly ran into a tornado last night with my 3 year old Son in the truck. It wasn't very big, but at 50 yards it was darn impressive! It dropped out of the sky picked up a construction trailor out in front of the new Walmart they are building here, smashed it like a toy, scooted down the hill in front of us, snaping off power poles (and didn't break the lines), lifted off the ground, and made a bee line for my house. It then dropped back down, tore up a couple of trees about 2 blocks from home, jumped a few streets and took the roof off of the Burger King.

Who says Nebraska ain't no fun?

    Ed

(by the way, it didn't do anything for the fishing, I went out this morning and caught my ear a couple of times thats all)

    Haven't seen a twister yet.

    Hey PastorEd,

That had to be a scarey experience for
you and your boy. Tickled to hear that you
got away with the adreneline rush and not
something more severe. Warm regards, Jim

    PastorEd,
I thank the Lord for the safety of you and your son. I pray for those less fortunate.

I'm really not sure I want to think about how close we really came. Back in the day I actuatlly chased tornados, but now with a wife and child to think about I am afraid if I really realized what nearly happened I would really be shook up.

I pray that this is the end of our nations extreme weather for the year (we had enough last year), but more wild stuff is predicted for later next week.

Thanks for the good thoughts folks, remember the people who really have been hurt.

Same story here late yesterday in S.E. Michigan. Three touchdowns not 5 miles from our farm. We got the full green blacken sky, teriffic winds, rain and marble size hail. It was snappin, crackin and flashin everywhere. We took cover in the basement and are glad to come back up without any damage. Such is life in our great state...
