    Default Wotten Shad

Since seeing this fly on Flyfish T.V. it has caught my interest as a possible great smallie fly. Does anyone know of the exact items used for tying this fly. The mylar cord for the outer body is what I mainly have question about. It didnt look like standard mylar when he was tying it on t.v. Ive also inquired about one of his Wotton Shad tying kits anyone purchase one of these. I also posted this in the Fly Tying section.

    Rich,
I have the exact dressing in my files, will get back to you with that tomorrow! The mylar tube-type stuff is flexi-cord from Wapsi.

Have you fished the fly? I think it looks like a real killer for predator fish. The flexi cord must be easier to cinch down with out the bulk of regular mylar tubing. I tied up a prototype last nite and it just didnt come out right with all that bulk from the mylar tubing. The rest of the materials Ive got except for the hook type.
