    Bill,
What kind of fish are you targeting? Micro jigs are very popular for trout in Missouri. I sometimes use them for bluegills, usually with the addition of rubber legs. You can just tie in a tail of marabou, your choice of color, and use thread for the body.

Trout, I didn't think about blue gill. Going to go do a little perch jerking next weekend. I am wonidering if you could use those micro jigs on a lite spinning outfit?

    Bill,
They should work fine with light spinning gear, as long as you use small diameter line.
Go to this site and look at the "Cap Spider". [url=http://warmwaterflyfisher.com/jarsofflies/Bluegill/jarsofflies_bluegill.htm:fff45]http://warmwaterflyfisher.com/jarsofflies/Bluegill/jarsofflies_bluegill.htm[/url:fff45]

I've tied up some very nice small polar fiber minnow patterns on them and they work great for bass, crappie and big bream. Just remember to slow down your stroke and open up your loop when casting.

We just tie on some sparse marabou and have at it. Chartreuse or Orange have both be good for the stocked Oklahoma & White River Arkansas trout(friends experience). Locally we use them for blue gill and catch a surprising number of bigger predators by accident. Just last week I caught a 6.5 lb bass on one of those size 10 hooks while fly fishing for gills. We generall use a strike indicator to keep it just above the weeds
