Thread: A&W Emerger recipe?

    Default A&W Emerger recipe?

Anyone have a recipe for the A&W Emerger? They seem to be pretty popular in Arkansas and I've heard they are productive on my local waters?

I tried googling this one and found lots of praise for the fly but no pattern/recipe. Anyone else have it?

Go to the littlemissouriflyfishing.com and then email Jeff. He might send it to you but this is a fly he uses on the river. If you attend one of his fly tying classes, he will show you how to tie it. Most guides that have developed a paticular fly for a river might not want to give out the instructions on how to tie it. He does sell that fly on ebay so you could buy it and try to copy it.

I actually emailed him a while back and he gave me a loose recipe...i was hoping to find something a little more thorough. I get the A&W reference to the tow colors he uses but on my local waters I have been told an "olive A&W" works.
