Sources for medium barred ginger cape?

Hello,

I would like to get medium barred ginger cape simply because I like the look of it. If you have had one, where did you get it?

My local fly shops are not good sources (They are selling ski, golf, hunting items as well as fly fishing products), so I am looking for some good on-line sources, and against what you have advised folks to, I may have to buy my cape without actually seeing and inspecting it before purchase.

So, could you recommend some trusty on-line sources of medium barred ginger? How did you get Whitings or Metz barred ginger if you have one? Did you also buy it on-line?

Another question is, Is it true that barred ginger hackles wrap lighter in shade so that I have to buy darker ginger to get the proper coloring and shade? This is why I am trying to get "medium (or dark)" barred ginger. I have often heard that light barred ginger may look too pale, so it may actually look like barred cream.

I recently bought some Collins barred ginger from an ebay seller in Maine. It's excellent and was a good deal. I'd also check with Conranch if I were you.
