Default Partridge, quail or Brahma hen skins

I'm looking for large nymph legs, on ties similar to large hare's ears, and am unsure which of the three would be most appropriate. I'm not in a position to check out quail or Brahma hen in person, and the Hun. feathers I have are a bit on the large side.
Could anybody spare a bit of advice on the tradeoffs between the three materials, and what alternate used I could find for them. (I know partridge is also used for soft hackles, and that's about it.)
Is there another mateiral I shouls be thinkign of as well? Thanks in advance.

    Josko,

Drop me an email and I will send you some Brahma saddle hackles to try.

    Cheers,

    Have a look here [url=http://www.dtnicolson.dial.pipex.com/page53.html:f5920]http://www.dtnicolson.dial.pipex.com/page53.html[/url:f5920]

I tied some flies with Brahma saddle hackles, they tie a nice spider although not an exact substitute for Golden Plover.

Thanks for the offer hans. It's much appreciated.
I just ordered a brahma hen and quail cape - they weren't that expensive, and I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

Once agaon, thanks for your kind offer.
