Fine Jaws for Norvise

Does anyone have this and use it? I'm thinking of getting this but would like to hear feedback on this item. Thanks in advance

I have the small offset jaw and just about use them for everything, there a good set to have with the Norvice

My wife VEE has a set for her Norvise and loves them. Change over takes about 30 seconds. However, it is her vise and she won't let me tie on it, so I don't know how well they work, but she loves them.

I have all the jaws and only use the midge
jaws, and tie anything from 28's to size 4

All I use is the cam lock fine point jaws to tie everything with up to about 6/0 with the standard offset and 9/0 and bigger with a modified arm on the fine point jaws. When I sell the vise I always reccomend it with only the fine point jaws.

How is the vibration using the jaws when using the rotary feature for making dubbing brushes ?

bw, I don't make dubbing brushes so I can't give feedback specific to that but I do use the vise to spin as much or more than for brushes. The "vibration" factor is minimal at worst. My vise is mounted on a fairly thin (1/4") thick piece of plastic so I get far more (which is still minimal) "vibration" than you would get if it were mounted on thicker plywood and it is not at all a concern for me. When I sell them, I have Norm put his large rear hub on the vise to give it a little more momentum with the fine point jaws.

Bottom line, vibration = no problem.

I bought the fine point jaws and added a large hub per Ronn's recommendation (a good one). They work just like the straight jaws when dubbing brushes (whether on the table or free). I think the advantage to the fine points is if you have used a standard vise, the fine points make an easier transition for tying tails.

Standard jaws are FAR nicer when making dubbing brushes.
