Cutting Zonker strips
A while back you folks gave me some much appreciated answers about how to cut zonker strips.
I took away from the thread that one of the keys is to suspend the hide and the other was what to use for cutting.
After playing around with it for awhile here are pictures of three ways to hold razor blades...all of which seem to work well.
The one uses single edge razor blades..they may be not as sharp as the other two that use double edge blades.
Two are ideas I got got from the thread .... the single edge one I saw at an expo.
The other one is my idea and consists of so called Magnetic business cards I got at Michael's.....
cut them just large enough to cover a double edge blade ....drilled through them all at the proper spot ...angled one corner so the corner of the blade sticks out...and held them in place with a small bolt.
I chose to space with 5 thickness which is about 1/8 inch wide.
