Although I don't remember the first fish that I caught on a fly, I very much do recall the first fish that I caught on a fly that I tied myself.
In fact, I will never forget it. It was a 12 inch Brooke Trout caught on a rather poorly tied #14 Adams.
From that day 'til this I've never fished with a fly that wasn't tied by my own two hands.
