has anyone yet to try this new series of line?
i'm thinking of matching it up to a Sage LL 4711 and was hoping to receive some input.

I did not know they were making a DT but I use the regular Quiet Taper on most of my rods.

I don't like quiet taper lines. They don't load the rod up enough for me. It's just my opinion, others like them, but I like their performance taper much better. I'm speaking of those lines on the Sage SPL series, which they were originally designed for. The LL series was NOT set up for those lines. So I think you would have to over-line a 4-wt LL one line size to use a quiet taper. A peach Cortland 444 is the best fly line I've used on Sage LL's and Scott G series (similar action rods). Whatever you chose, try to cast the line before you buy if you can.

PS the quiet taper lines perform especially poorly in the wind.

ktokj:
i'm well aware of the Quiet Tapers inability to load a rod properly on the SPL series in windy conditions (SPL383-3). I mostly run either Sage's Performance Taper or S.A. XPS Lines.
thank you all for the comments

I use the Quiet Taper II WF on my 7'6" SLT 3wt and I like it a lot. I haven't experienced any loading problems.
I checked thier website, the DT lines came out this year and were designed to be used with the TXL rods.
