    Default Creepy Crawler

I'm experimenting with the above pattern for LMB featured in the most recent issue of fly Tyer. I've had some frustration with the split claw tails. I resorted to one stacked tail and then splitting with figure 8's like a wing. Seems too easy compared to making two stand alone tails and then getting them to split. Will my method hinder the action? Add to much bulk? This fly looks like it will be productive around structure. Robb Howard

I think your method will work just fine, you could even tie two different styles of tails, one split, one as one clump. The times I have seen crayfish swim they usually hold their claws together in front of them.

The fish will let you now which one they prefer.

    Hope this helps,

    Alberto
