    Default Crustacea Patterns-Tony Angelino

I offered to host and post these images for Tony until he can get his own website in place. I think Tony's Blue Max Flies are just excellent!

Tony mentioned that he had recently retired and moved from Maine down to Florida. He has since joined the Emerald Coast Flyrodders club in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Nice job on these flies Tony!

Thought the board would enjoy viewing Tony's wonderfully tied patterns...

Thank you for uploading my Blue Max flies. Finally got my web space worked out, and going to try putting up a picture.

You are welcome Tony. Re these flies that you have been tying: Are they made using SiliSkin, or loco foam or some other material? How are you coating them and coloring them...?

    rich,

I use foam sheet, if I want my craw to float. If I want it to sink. I use a sheet of Tulip Fabric Paint. You can get it at most craft shops. Tulip Fab. Paint is the same as E-Z Shape Sparkle Body!! You can shape, cut, paint it. If you like you can look at the URL at Joe Branhams web site. Joe was good enough to put my idea on his site.

go to: Articles, then How to make a sheet out of Tulip Fabric Paint.

    Nice flys!
Are you guys using spin casting outfits with split shot sinkers to get 'em out there ?

I fly fish most of the time. Do not see why you could not use spinning or casting rods if you like.

    Are you kidding Toni ?
These flies you tied are beautiful!
I think there may have been one (Parsons Tom) of all the flys that I've tied that turned out so nice I didn't have the heart to fish it.
And that was the thought I had when saw this post.
And I got your attention too!

Thank you for the kind words!! you sure did get my attention! When I make a good fly, I wind up putting it away. When I go out in the salt, I take every fly I can stuff in my fly box. I get my rod set up and the first thing that comes out of my fly box is a Clouser! What a great fly it is.
