    Default Hybrid Popper

I thought I'd share this popper since it is a bit different than most of those I make. It is a hybrid diving popper gives it a different look and movement in the water. With a rapid 10" -12" strip retrieve, the lure makes a nice gurgle pop, but then the lip causes it to dart about 2-3 inches below the surface making it look and act like an injured baitfish. I put some curve to the lip to give it more action. I just call it a hybrid popper, but it gives me one more type of lure to work with when I'm out chasing LM Bass. I've added a photo showing a series of steps in the process. I used a metallic marker to color it, 3D eyes and a cot of two-part epoxy to give it shine and durability Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. https://gifyu.com/image/SjJW8

I like this. I have a few foam poppers that I cut at a 45 degree angle that do some of the same thing.

Thanks, Rick. Poppers and divers are fun to make and even more fun to catch fish with.
