    Hook: 60 degree jig style hook, size 16
    Bead: 3/32 slotted tungsten, copper
    Thread: fire orange uni thread
    Tail: whitting golden straw brahma hen saddle hackle fibers
    Rib: gold oval tinsel, small
    Abdomen: hares ear dubbing
    Thorax: dark hares ear dubbing
    Hackle: whitting golden straw brahma hen saddle

    Love the fly John. Looks extremely fishy. Have you fished this pattern?

    These days I am all about jig style nymphs, and you sir tie the best I’ve seen.

    it was my go to fly during our caddis hatch from 2013 to 2020. it got replaced last year by the easy zug bug when drifting in my boat, but it is still my go to when wading, when wading I like to fish it without an indicator, that way I can fish it as a nymph or swing it like a soft hackle. it works well at other times of the year, but at its best during the grannom and green caddis hatch.

    Iim with you on the jig style nymphs its about all I fish now
