Last photo shows the result of our sample of nymphs from our outing in the 1st pic,
I always liked the shadow on the hat , it shows the shape and size of the actual fly that we studied,
My Son and I got a great first introduction to aquatic insects , and matching the hatch..
His love of fly fishing and tying has only increased since... mine too!

Just wondering how many miles of river have been waded since those pictures.

A few miles on the same river, only big change these days ,
I now have a fine young man to accompany me with the same
enthusiasm carried along with us from that day.
