    Byron,
That fly looks so fragile and pretty that I would be afraid to fish it. I think that, after one fish it would lose a lot of its attraction. What has been your experience with the durability of Wally-winged and Hatchmaster flies?
    Thanks,
    Ted

    Ted,
A bunch t more resilient than it looks.
Perhaps you haven’t, but I have been frustrated many times during a hatch when my “normal” patterns just weren’t working. In those instances, I would gladly use a fly which would work, even if it only lasted for the catch of a nice big trout.

The general Hatchmaster fly (without Wally Wings) is one of the favorites on famous waters with extremely picky trout….Silver Creek immediately comes to mind.

    Byron,
Thanks for the response. I have been frustrated many times by trout that just wouldn't eat the normal patterns. I am always looking for something a little out of the ordinary. I may try to tie some Hatchmasters for these occasions.
    Thanks,
    Ted
