Default An idea for your fly tying area

I posted this on Face Book, so if you are a member there as well, please excuse the double posting. I thought I'd share it here for any folks who may not use FB. While I am fortunate to have a very nice roll-top desk for my tying desk, there are times when I like to lay out all the materials I am working with where I can reach them easily. I found this small Rigid FlipTop table at our local Tools Direct store for $19.99. I picked up a tray at our local Goodwill store for a couple of dollars and bolted it to the top to give me a larger working surface with edges around it to keep things in place. It stores away easily and is super stable and the total cost including the tray is about $23. I store the folded tray next to my desk and pull it out when I need a little extra room to layout materials for patterns I am tying. I just thought I'd share this with the folks here who might find it interesting and useful.

It would make a great table to use during demonstrations or for taking to a clients place for teaching fly tying, Looks very portable.

    Mike,

Thanks for the kind words. That said, brilliant? (not really), Cleaver? Sometimes. It does work great though. So well that my wife has commandeered the second one for her own use.

Take care and have a wodnerful and fruitful season.

    Jim
