Originally planned this as a caddis, but then the name wouldn?t make any sense; whatever.

hook - WFC Model 3 #14
thread - UTC 140 tan
shuck - Congo Hair beige
rib - Mirage Flash opal
abdomen - tying thread
thorax - Ice Dub hare?s ear tan
wing - deer hair

Part 1

Start thread at eye




Clean, stack, measure (hook length) a sparse clump of deer hair




Trim butts, tie in with 2 soft loops, tips facing forward, spin






Tie in CH behind butts, tie in rib; wrap to bend






Build up tapered body




Rib body; tie off/trim, brush with Sally, trim shuck

Part 2

Dub thread/dub thorax






Push hair back, evenly distributing around shank




Grasp tips, create thread dam/head; half hitch x 2, SHHAN






Trim out fibers underneath






All dun
