Bead weight question?

Hello to all !

I have a question about bead weight.

I am looking to pick up some tungsten beads, and I noticed that there are both slotted, and countersunk.
The sizes are pretty much standard.

But ,
Are the countersunk heavier then the slotted ?
Looks like more metal is missing from the slotted then the countersunk ?

Has anybody check this out ?

with slightly more material in the countersunk version vs the slotted version it would likely be the countersunk version would be slightly heavier

another factor would be are the beads exactly the same diameter? how big is the countersink?

the only way to find out is if you actually weigh each one

in the grand scheme of things, i dont think it would really matter

this doesn't answer your weight question but, the counter sunk beads are made for use on standard style hooks, 3906,3906b,9671, 9672, eic..........the slotted beads are made for use on tactical style hooks, or jig style.

"The main issue with jig hooks had been that appropriately sized standard beadheads would not slide around the kink in the shank. Slotted beads solve this by allowing the kink to maneuver through the slot and the bead to nestle up to eye of the hook."

of course you can use countersunk beads on jig style hooks
