    Default Hokensaspuppan (omvaxling) SBS






    Swedes got rabbits, too; change size to suit your needs


    hook ? Mustad 3906B #10
    thread - Danville 6/0 brown
    rib - x-small wire copper (too lazy to look for gold)
    body - dubbing hare's ear
    body hackle - brown (undersize by 2)
    front hackle - partridge


    Part 1

    mash barb, wrap shank with non-tox; tie in thread, tie in rib, wrap to bend







    dub thread/dub body










    tie in hackle; wrap to bend










    counterwrap hackle; helicopter end, cover with thread, trim hackle tip

    tie in partridge by tip







    wrap partridge, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN

    Rather than trying to remember its name, I'll just call it a John Scott Special Nice job.

    I think you’re a bit confused. John Scott hasn’t posted much here in a while and this is definitely not his fly; I found it on a Swedish site.

    I have seen somewhere, where they tie up soft hackle dry flies. I tried some and they do work. The theory is that the soft hackle (tied in very sparsely at the front only) gives motion to the legs while the body hackle keeps the fly afloat. I think this pattern without the added weight would fit this category quite nicely. Glad you reminded me of them.
