Do you put anything over the Moose Mane to prevent breakage? I've tied up several "Drowned Mosquito" soft hackles, that started with white and dark Moose mane, but I'd only catch a few fish with them and the hair would break and unravel. Now I tie those with wire, since I fish it wet.
