Default How tempermental is rod bond?

I bought some U-40 rod bond, which I have never used before. I know that it is a one-to-one ratio, but I was wondering how percise that ratio has to be.

Its easy to use and precision is not needed. I use plastic picnic spoons but others just eyeball it. Its good stuff

You will find that Rod Bond is great to work with. NOTE: Use a separate or clean utensil to remove each portion of paste from each container or you run the risk of contaminating either container, which will end up hardening on you. Mix it 1 to 1 ratio to a butter colour paste and apply it. Working time is very long so no need to rush. Clean up the excess with rubbing alcohol and let your rod stand overnight to set. Do yourself a favour by checking the rod after an hour or so to see that things haven't moved out of alignment, for this can happen. This is the preferred epoxy used by us rod builders, so you should be pleased with the results. Good luck and have fun building your new rod. Keeping things clean, clean, clean is the key to a great finished rod!
