I notice a similarity between your tying style and that of Dick Talleur. Did you ever spend any time with him? I've really enjoyed seeing all the flies you've posted here and elsewhere.

i have only seen dick talleur tie flies at new england fly tying shows. i have never taken a lesson from him. i wish i could tie as good as him

my fly tying beginnings are from colorado in the 1980's when i took lessons from a guy named ed buchanan. we worked together at martin marietta aerospace company

i came back to connecticut in 1992. i have taken tying lessons from mike martinek (streamers) and don bastian (wet flies)

how about your beginnings?

do you have a good list if fly tying blogs?
