God Bless America
I use a pedestal vise. The placement I use is that the vice post is just inside my left shoulder with the hook eye being just slightly to the right of the center of my head. I don't really make a point of setting up that way, but that's how things were when I just went and sat in the chair. It might be interesting to look at few videos of really good tyers and see what they do
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.
I think my problem is that my chair is too close to the bottom of my tying table. If I lower it enough to be comfortable, then I have to look up at my vise, so if I hang it over the edge of the table, I can lower it enough to look at it straight on. As soon as I figure out the excellent instructions we got on using photobucket, I will post pics. Thanks for all the comments. I tried to find youtube pics of tyers sitting positions, but they seem to focus on their hands for some reason.
Aha! I found what I need, watching a video of Kelly Galloup - his tying desk probably cost 5,000 dollars, but has an arrangement where he can tie while looking down at the fly. I'll just save my pennies.
