Thread: Burr in bobbin tube

    Default Burr in bobbin tube

What do you do to de-burr the tube of a ceramic bobbin? Only a slight burr on the tip opening and only affects 70 denier threads, otherwise OK. I thought of rubbing a very fine rubbing compound on heavier denier thread (GSP?) and making circular motions on the tip of the threaded bobbin.

I have only had a problem with one ceramic tip bobbin that affected the thread. That was a cracked ceramic insert in the tip. I returned the bobbin to the store where I bought it and they exchanged it for a new one. I had only had it about a week before I returned it.

Do you have a Dremel tool. They make small rubber and felt polishing cones.

Don't waste your time. Discard the bobbin.
