hook - Dai Riki 070 #16
thread - Danville 6/0 pale yellow
tail - pheasant tail
abdomen - stripped hackle stem brown
wing/wingcase - mallard flank
thorax - dubbing yellow
legs - partridge


Part 1

mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap to bend




measure (hook length) some pt fibers, tie in/trim






tie in stripped hackle stem, brush shank with Sally, wrap to 2/3 mark, tie off/trim






measure (tips to bend) waterfowl flank (started with teal, ended up using mallard); tie in, fold back butt






dub thread/dub thorax

prep partridge; flip fly over, tie in, pull to length (DeFeo style)








pull wingcase forward, tie down




trim butts, whip finish, SHHAN
