Trying to change the reel from right to left hand retrieve. Stripping it down does not reveal any obvious answer and haven't found much info online. Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

There have never in history been so many opportunities to do so many things that aren't worth doing. - William Gaddis
Don't have the tool to pull the bearing but I was able to extract and flip it with my fingers; seems to have done the trick. My friend will be very happy; she took it to a couple shops in Kalispell and none of them could figure it out. Thanks for the link.

Hope this helps ...... if you've not already figured it out ....
Separate spool from reel ..... one-way bearing is now exposed in the spool. The bearing is seated in a plastic ring that has a lip. I was able to use my letter opener to lever up the plastic ring quite easily (you could use a very very small (jewelers?) flathead screw driver as well), you should not have to do this to the point that you would damage anything (I just did it again now ... I have this reel in front of me). Then just push the bearing out of the sleeve with your finger and flip the bearing over, and then put the bearing back in the sleeve. Return sleeve and bearing back into the hole and waalaa ...... mission accomplished!
