Bruiser Blend. Olive on the "top", and Butterbelly on the "bottom".

Cool flies, Allen; these would be killer on peacock bass. Thanks for posting.

I got the idea about a month ago. I was "harrassing the Bluegill" at a local spot, when I saw some LMBs cruising, scoping out the Bluegills. I started fishing the Belly Scratcher Minnow pattern that I did in Shad colors. Got some bites, but no hookups. Got to thinking about tying some in Bluegill colors, when it hit me, I already had everything I needed. I got a message from my buddy in OK that was fishing some of those Shad-colored Belly Scratchers, and he's been killing LMBs with them. Then he told me they've been hitting on anything in Bluegill colors. That's enough for me, time to get some tied up.

FWIW-> I tied a few clouzer minnows in bluegill colors making certain to include a patch of orange calf tail in the tie. Had great luck one evening. Might have been the time. Might have been the pattern. . . .
