    Default Agostino's Midge Emerger SBS

Shuck on the original was hand-tied; mono core makes it a lot easier for me.

    hook - Dai Riki 125 #18
    thread - MFC 8/0 sand
    core - 5x mono
    shuck - CdC dun
    body - peacock herl
    hackle - grizzly
    wing - CdC dun

    Part 1

    make a loop in mono

    start thread; tie mono in

strip off some CdC fibers; tie in

    hook loop onto gallows

wrap CdC around mono with thread wraps up (hook length), and back to base

trim away mono; trim CdC butts

    Part 2

measure (hook length) and tie in wing over hook eye

return to tail; tie in hackle

tie in peacock; wrap, tie off/trim

wrap hackle thru body; tie off/trim

stand wing up with thread dam in front; half hitch x 2, SHHAN

    trim out hackle underneath

    Regards,
    Scott
